About

Gibson FamilyAbout me

My name is AJ Gibson.  My family and I are missionaries. Through pioneer church planting with To Every Tribe, we seek to spread the message of “the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ” to the nations of the world.

I grew up in South Texas and Northern Mexico where my parents have served as missionaries since 1971.  I attended Bob Jones University where I earned a B.A. in Bible (1995), a M.A. in Theology (1998), and a Ph.D. in New Testament Interpretation (2003).  In 1996 I married Ruth Horgen.  We have two boys, Jonathan and Christian, and a daughter named Katelyn.

Blog name

The words Gratia et Veritas or, grace and truth, come from the Latin of John 1:17:

“quia lex per Moysen data est, gratia et veritas per Iesum Christum facta est.”

”For the law was given through Moses; grace and truth came through Jesus Christ.”
